Once a year in the St J’s Group we remember and give thanks for the lives of loved ones who have passed away.

We would like to warmly invite you and your family to attend one of our services on Sunday 3rd November 2024. During each of the services; 10am at St. Julian’s Church Wellow, 10.30am at St. John’s Church Peasedown and 11.15am at St. Julian’s’ Church Shoscombe, the names of those who have died will be read out. There will also be an opportunity to light a candle for a special loved one and time for quiet and personal reflection.

Rev'd Matthew Street writes; "Bereavement is a painful experience. This act of worship aims to give thanks to God for the lives of our loved ones and to provide us with an opportunity to receive the comfort and healing we need when pain and sorrow is acute. Christ’s own words “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” are words which can indeed come true in our lives."
