St John’s Church in Peasedown St John has opened it’s doors every Tuesday during the August holidays to host Summer Fun days for local children and families.

St John’s Church in Church Road runs a full programme of children’s activities throughout the year, and the school holidays are no exception!

Church leader, Revd Matthew Street, said:
“Each Tuesday we’ve wanted to open up our building and the church grounds for children, their parents and carers to use.

We’ve had an inflatable obstacle course, bouncy castle, toys, crafts and activities for children, plus tasty refreshments.

The free events have seen well over 150 people attending, mostly children but lots of adults too. When schools are closed, keeping the little ones occupied for the summer break can be difficult, so St John’s Church has been keen to provide something free of charge for villagers to attend.”

St John’s Church has hosted Summer Fun Days and Children’s Clubs for over 10 years, making an impact on many youngsters lives in the community.
