Developing real friendships over coffee, chat and cake!

The Ladies Coffee Morning has continued to grow and thrive over the past year. We have been very blessed to have new ladies join us, several of whom are new to the village. There are now about 25 ladies who come regularly, although not as yet all at the same time!
The morning is very simple: coffee, chat and cake. It is lovely to see how real friendships have been made - which continue outside of the coffee morning. There is a real sense of caring for each other as we have seen some of the group go through sad and difficult times. It really does feel like a supportive group. We are a real mixture of people who have been part of the church for years, some more recently and others not at all, any and all of which is wonderful.
Jenny, from South Africa sums it up. “It is not easy moving to another country in your 70’s!! Everyone I have met at the monthly coffee mornings has made me feel part of their community and I love that I go home each time having made a new friend and having caught up with others. I can honestly say that it’s thanks to the monthly coffee mornings I feel part of the community!”
