Remembering Loved Ones Sunday
Once a year in the St J’s Group we remember and give thanks for the lives of loved ones who have passed away. We would like to warmly invite you and your family to attend one of our morning services on (date to be decided for 2018). During each of the morning services in Peasedown, Wellow and Shoscombe, the names of those who have died will be read out. There will also be an opportunity to light a candle for a special loved one and time for quiet and personal reflection.
You may add names to the lists during the year to be read out at the service in late 2018.
If you would like to add a name to the lists (for Peasedown, Wellow or Shoscombe) this year, please fill out one of the forms below by clicking on the place you would like the name to be read out; i.e. Peasedown, Wellow or Shoscombe.St John’s, Peasedown St Julian’s, Wellow St Julian’s, Shoscombe
Rev’d Matthew Street writes; “Bereavement is a painful experience. This act of worship aims to give thanks to God for the lives of our loved ones and to provide us with an opportunity to receive the comfort and healing we need when pain and sorrow is acute. Christ’s own words “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” are words which can indeed come true in our lives.”
We look forward to seeing you at one of our special Remembering Loved Ones services on (date to be decided for 2018).
